Fancy filters, special effects, and tricky techniques are all in order for this week’s photo challenge, dreaming.
I’m going in a different direction, of course. Instead, I present a typical view from an Adirondacks lakeside. This is the kind of place of which I dream and the kind of view that when it comes into sight, I reflexively gasp and wonder, “am I dreaming?”
I’ve forgotten which lake this is, but it still evokes that dreaming wonder.

I totally agree on the “dreaming wonder.” It does look like a great place for it…
It’s a necessary escape for me – recharge the batteries and remind myself how much more to life there is than the everyday grind.

Symbolically, I could wax philosophical and say that the ripples in the reflection are analogous to the way that dreams distort reality.
But let’s not get that deep, eh?
