Reblogged from Broken Light: A Photography Collective:
Photo taken by a woman in New Jersey who battles the ups and downs of bipolar disorder. She is a wife and mother who enjoys taking photos and helping other people, even when times are tough.
About this photo: "I shot this photograph of a friend of mine who recently got engaged. They are the sweetest couple and I know they will be so happy together.
Love is a beautiful thing, regardless of the illnesses and gifts of each person.
My son’s mother also has a mental illness and she is an excellent mother. She always looks out for the interest of the family.
What a beautiful story. I too have been blessed with a husband who is literally going the distance with me, despite all I’ve put him through on account of my illness. He embodies the Scriptural passage from St. Paul to the Corinthians regarding love–it is patient, it is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not easily angered.

Thanks for sharing this blog…as an artist/photographer thinking I might submit too!
You definitely should – the Broken Light Collective is awesome!
It is awesome …and I just did!! Not listening to those inner voices of “not good enough” that hold me back.
Thanks
